Vevo and Warner Music Group recently announced a licensing agreement that will see premium videos from Warner Music Group artists distributed on Vevo owned and controlled properties, including Vevo.com and the Vevo mobile app.
The partnership follows Vevo’s announcement of an ambitious company-wide reboot designed to lay the foundation for long-term growth. The plan consists of major initiatives across three areas of the business: brand, creative content and programming, and product.
“We’re excited to partner with Warner Music and bring their artists’ content to life through our new mobile and web experiences and across a range of our programming,” said Erik Huggers, CEO of Vevo.
Recently, the music scene saw one of the biggest news in the industry: Sony/ATV and Sony Publishing have joined hands into becoming a bigger player than it already has. Stepping up its game, it is only vital that WMG continues to partner with one of the top music streaming video platform before Sony takes a slice.
