The WOLRD YOUTH JAZZ FESTIVAL, in its 6th edition, is slated to take place from 5 – 7 May at TREC KL. TREC KL will be hosting the festival for the first time and has recently released its final line-up of artistes including DBKL’s nine-piece orchestra Summons Syndicate, Lee Pei Ling, Kirana Kay, Three Song, NVML, Sophie Bright, Harry Toledo, Fingerstyle, Travis Tan, LA-based singer/songwriter Emiko C, a three-time featured performer of the Songwriters Hall of Fame New Writers Showcases and many more.
The three-day festival will feature local and regional acts that include 16 bands in total. Performances will run from 6pm to midnight at Quad event space over three nights. Joining WYJF is TREC’s late-night artisan market CRAFT ARMY that will be making its debut at Hive and Rhapsody Square. Vendors would be retailing an array of products from handicraft, handmade jewellery, organic food, and more will be taking part.
“TREC is pleased to be the official venue of WYJF 2017. In doing so, we are able to expand the programming over the weekend with CRAFT ARMY to draw a more diverse profile of visitors to TREC, comprising not just diners but music lovers and shoppers,” said Cher Ng, co-founder of TREC.

WYJF is supported by TREC and Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur. TREC has also released the digital festival guide on social media, complete with artistes line-up, CRAFT ARMY details, F&B promos and visitors’ guide for the festival and estate.
Le Noir is supporting the festival and will be featuring more acts on the Le Noir stage for five nights in a row and ends the festival with a traditional closing jam session on the evening of 7 May. Their line-up includes New Village Music Lab, Frances Tsen, Peter Dickson, Boy Bravado, Armon, Poova, Zahid Ahmad, CaboCubaJazz, Acoustic Fourplay and many more.
